Who We Are
Michael Wheeler is (BJ ’71, MA ‘11) is Managing Partner of Westerly Partners, LLC, an investor advisory that provides strategic, financial, and technology solutions to early stage companies focused on new media and technology. Mike brings more than 40 years of senior management experience at NBC, CNBC, MTV, Showtime, The Financial News Network, Meredith Broadcasting, and CBS. Apropos of this fellowship application, he is a member of the advisory committee of TV79, the Government Access TV channel in Darien, CT. TV79 covers more than 600 hours of local public meetings annually. He also serves on the boards of a company that sells digital products to libraries and Waywire, a video curation company and was a founding advisor to Newsy. David J. Danto has had over three decades of delivering successful business outcomes in media and collaboration technology. He developed and executed global technology strategies in leadership roles with JPMorgan Chase and Lehman Brothers, and led media technology facility design and execution for organizations including Bloomberg LP, The Charlie Rose Show, NYU, AT&T, and Financial News Network. His efforts have been recognized by many premiere industry organizations, serving as The Director of Emerging Technologies for the non-profit Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance; as adjunct faculty for InfoComm International; as a National Association of Broadcasters “Pick-Hits” judge for Broadcast Engineering; and as a CES Innovation Awards judge. David is an award-winning blogger and contributor to technology publications, a frequent presenter at industry events, and is a member of many industry advisory boards.
